Macerata Opera Family: A Generational Engagement and Cultural Digitization

The Sferisterio of Macerata from 9 May 2024 to 7 June 2024 witnessed moments of extraordinary enthusiasm and participation during the Macerata Opera Family. In an intense week, over 6,000 spectators attended the three performances tailored to different age groups, demonstrating unprecedented turnout.

Organized by the Arena Sferisterio Association in collaboration with local institutions and private sponsors, the initiative engaged both grandparents and children in a unique cultural experience. Through performances suitable for various age ranges and the creative use of digital technology, the Opera Family offered an engaging and accessible experience for all.

Beyond the spectacle of the events, the Opera Family fostered intergenerational dialogue, providing older adults with the opportunity to connect with younger generations through the sharing of meaningful cultural experiences.
